Problem Statement

The amount of food waste Singapore generates has increased by 48%, over the past 10 years. Therefore, causes the space in Semakau Landfill to run out exponentially. SIT (Food Canopy) disposes ___ bags of food waste every week and does not have a proper food waste recycling system such as organic waste recycling compost. Thus, contribute to the increasing food waste Singapore generates.  

PS: We will include the number of bags after we interview the Food Canopy management.

Purpose Statement

The purpose of this proposal is to implement compost organic compound in SIT (Food Canopy)  to reduce food wastage. By implementing such system, SIT establish itself as a good example and influence other institutions to recycle food waste. Hence, in the long run, reduce food wastage not only in SIT but across other institution. This will ultimately slow down the rate of space running out in Semakau Landfill.
